Muswellbrook Library will give local poets and performers two minutes to wow a judging panel -- selected from a live audience -- with original poetry, hip hop, monologues or stories during a one-off national poetry slam heat at Muswellbrook Library next month.

The National Poetry Slam will see four heats held across the Hunter, as well as in regional centres around Australia in the lead up to regional final in October.

If you want to be in the cheering, poetry-loving audience, come along to an upcoming slam. You may even get to judge as judges are chosen randomly from the live audience.
See www.australianpoetryslam.com for more info.

Details of other heats in the Hunter area can be found on the Hunter Poetry Slam facebook page.

All venues are wheelchair accessible.
