Wheelers eBooks

It's easy to get started with our eBooks. You can get started right away by clicking the link above which will take you directly to our ebook collection. Below is a step by step guide of getting started...

Step 1 How do you want to access your eBooks?

There are two ways to access our eBooks depending on the type of reader you are using. For ease of access Wheelers have created an app* for Apple, Windows and Android devices.  Check the below to see where your mobile/tablet device fits. Alternatively Adobe digital editions can be used on your laptop or desktop computer. A user guide for Adobe systems can be found here.

*Note: The wheelers app is not currently supported by Kobo reader devices. Kobo users should download the Bluefire reader app to download and read our ebooks. This will require an Adobe ID.

Step 2 Using the App

As you open the App, you will see the App homepage. The first thing you will need to do is ‘Find Your Library’. CLICK the ‘Find your Library’ link and use the search bar to find the ‘Upper Hunter Library  Network’ and CLICK the link.

This will load the library's homepage.  The drop down menu at the top of the screen will be the best way of navigating around, use this menu to  access the collection, Search, access your shelf and Sign in.

Step 3 Your log in details

Your log in details will be your membership number (starts with ‘200’) and your eight-digit date of birth (DDMMYYYY) - please note, this password can not be changed. If you have any difficultly logging in please contact your local branch for assistance.  You will need to sign in to the App before you can loan any eBooks. Use the drop down menu at the top of the library’s ebook homepage to sign in.

Step 4 Browsing Books

Once you have logged in, you are free to browse and loan ebooks to your personal shelf. To do this, use the browse or search function to find books you are interested, you can click the cover photo to see more information about the title (including author, length, blurb) and to download the title.

Step 5 Loaning eBooks

To loan a title, click the cover photo to open the summary page for the item, scroll down and click the ‘Borrow Now’ button.
If the title is already on loan you will be given the option to reserve the title. Once loaned you will be given the option to read now or continue browsing to loan more items. Clicking the ’Read Now’ link will download the item to your device.

Step 6 Reading eBooks

Once you have loaned an item, you can access the book via the ‘Shelf’ link in the drop down menu of the Library’s homepage or recently opened titles will also appear on the homepage of the App.

Step 7 Returning Loans

The great thing about ebooks is that they automatically return themselves at the end of the loan period, meaning no overdues! If you would like to return your item earlier however, access the ‘My Shelf’ page , click the title link of the item you wish to return, then scroll to find the ‘Return Title’ button.
